24th Sunday of the Ordinary Time

New Beginnings continued…

 Dear Fr. Bryan

Continuing the theme of new beginnings which although not specifically faith based, I’m sure, with some creative thinking can be related to our own faith journey.

Reflection 2:

This week I’d like to look at the challenges of starting over. I’m sure we can all remember a time when we were faced with a new situation: maybe it was when we started our first job. Beginnings are not always easy. Sometimes, they’re born out of necessity rather than choice, like moving to a new town, changing careers, or rebuilding after a loss. These kinds of beginnings can be daunting, filled with uncertainty and fear of the unknown.
Starting over often means leaving behind the familiar, which can be a tough pill to swallow. It’s human nature to cling to what we know, even when it no longer serves us. But beginnings, especially the difficult ones, push us out of our comfort zones and force us to grow in ways we never imagined.

When we are faced with a fresh start, it’s important to acknowledge the emotions that come with it. Fear, sadness, and even anger are all natural responses. But within these challenges lies the potential for incredible growth and transformation. It’s in these moments of starting over that we discover our true strength and resilience. Remember, it’s ok to take things one step at a time. Every small victory counts when you are navigating a new beginning. So, if you find yourself at a crossroads today, take a deep breath and trust in your ability to move forward. Embrace the challenge of starting over, knowing that with each new beginning comes the chance to create a life that’s even more fulfilling and meaningful.

Here’s to fresh starts and the endless potential they hold!
