Our Family Week will be in Castlerigg in Keswick from Monday 5th – Saturday 10th August 2013. We have a planning Meeting on Saturday 27th April stating a 1.00pm. The inability of the disciples to recognise their Master, just within 3 days he died and rose remains startling. Was it that the resurrected Jesus had a major physiological changes that he was no longer easily to be recognised or that something prevented the disciples from recognising their Master ? . However, they did not believe mary Magdalene, but she was a woman. They were startled to find Jesus on the road to Emmaus. And when the Lord came to them behind closed doors, they were troubled, questioning and afraid. They had travelled with Jesus, they had listened to him, they had witnessed the miracles and yet…… Today,the Lord meets us totally disguised at various point in our busy lives. He shows us his face in the stranger on the street, in the voice of a colleague, in the embrace of a loved one. Do we see him, do we hear his voice, do we feel his presence?
