Fr. Bryan was ordained by Bishop Joseph Divine on 8th December 1985 having spent three months as a Deacon in Corpus Christi Parish, Oldham.
He was appointed to the Parish of St Joseph’s, Milngavie for one year, transferred to Schoenstatt Germany for further pastoral training and then was sent to Sydney, Australia to do youth work. He was based in the Diocese of Paramatta and worked in the Diocese and in the Schoenstatt Movement. During his time in Sydney he had pastoral responsibilities in the Philippines working with youth, seminarians and with pilgrims. This work was to continue until 1999. He was transferred to Germany in 1992/93, became a member of the Province Council with responsibility for the non-German members of the Province (a task which brought him on a regular basis to the House Community of Mount Carmel in Blackley, Manchester).
Fr. Bryan also had responsibilities within the women’s youth branch in Germany. 1998 he was reappointed to the Province Council.
8th December 1999 Fr. Bryan was transferred to Manchester and became assistant Priest for Mount Carmel and took up work with the families.
2003 he was appointed Parish Priest of Mount Carmel until 2010.
October 2009 he was appointed for a third time to a new Province Council.
In March 2010 he transferred to St John Fisher’s Kearsley where he is the local superior and Director of the Movement.
