Welcome to Schoenstatt Hearts Afire in Advent. You are invited to the last of this year’s series on Wednesday 10th December at 7.30pm at the Shrine. The Shrine has become our Bethlehem and we await the coming of our promised Saviour. We will visit the Crib in the Shrine for five minutes asking Mary the Mother of our Redeemer to make our hearts the manger and our homes the stable for the coming of Christ. We rush to the Shrine like the shepherds made haste to find out if its true what the angels said. We too wish to pay Him homage and show our love by bringing His good news to a world longing for God. In the Acts of the Apostles we hear how the Apostles would not stop talking about Jesus even when they were punished for doing so. They could not help but sure their good news. Please come along and join us and take time to prepare for the coming of our Saviour this Christmas.
Martha Fernández-Sardina says: “If we want an effective new evangelization to transform the world for centuries to come–and we do!–, we must become genuine witnesses of Christ. And to become and remain powerful and credible witness we must pursue holiness. And to grow in holiness daily, we need daily personal conversion. No conversion, no holiness No holiness, no credible witness. No credible witness, no effective new evangelisation. But… the opposite is also true! Conversion leads to holiness. Holiness leads to a credible witness. Credible witness leads to an effective new evangelisation.”
