Last Thursday evening during the Covenant Mass the Schoenstatt Family said thank you to Stefan Lohrer who is completing his year of voluntary service at the Shrine. Today the Parish of St John Fisher’s celebrated their farewell with Stefan. Edmund Birch thanked Stefan and reminded us of the stages of his journey as volunteer at the Shrine Campus. Stefan was joined by Pablo Ibarra in January of this year and they are “well-kent faces’ both at St John Fisher’s as at St Ethelbert’s in Deane. Stefan returns home on Wednesday 24th July and he will be attending a preparatory course for his university studies where he will be studying Sport and Religion. Special thanks you to Stefan for his work at the centre and St Ethelbert’s and our best wishes for the next stage of his journey. Next year Stefan will take part in the Torch-Relay from Pompeii to Schoenstatt as part of the Centenary Celebrations in Schoenstatt. So we hope to see him visit us again. All the best and God Bless Stefan.
