Welcome to our Covenant Mass on Wednesday 18th November at 7.30pm at the Shrine. The Mass is prepared by the Emmaus Group and the main celebrant is Fr David. Family is the place we learn how to love steadfastly and form a network of emotional bonds – a human network of mutual support. Home is a holy place in which we learn the value of family for the growth in Faith. We look forward to seeing you. In the month of November we also remember our loved ones and all the faithful departed and pray for them. Please remember to bring a contribution for our foo bank. Both non-perishable food items and warm hats, gloves and socks are welcome as a gift for the needy in winter.
You are invited to out Taste and See Family Mass on Sunday 8th November 2015 at 3.30pm. We will have a programme for adults and for the children and conclude with a shared meal. The Synod on the family has just concluded and the Holy Father speaks of the importance of families for the growth of the Church in modern times. “The family is a place of discernment, where we learn to recognize God’s plan for our lives and to embrace it with trust,” the Pope said. “It is a place of gratuitousness, of discreet fraternal presence and solidarity, a place where we learn to step out of ourselves and accept others, to forgive and to be forgiven.” Family is the place where we learn the value of good healthy human relationships. We look forward to seeing you. For our ‘food bank’ we invite you to donate warm socks and gloves. This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday and we will remember all those who have fallen in the fields of conflict. We remember also all the faithful departed in the month of November and pray for deceased love ones and the Holy Souls in Purgatory. May they rest in peace and rise in glory.
